Mahoning County Hub to Combat Opioid & Other Drug Addiction

The Mahoning County "Opiate Hub" was developed for a variety of purposes, that include:

• strengthening county & community efforts to prevent and treat opioid addiction.
• providing education regarding the dangers of opioid addiction & the negative effects on society. 
• promoting family building & workforce development as ways of combatting opioid addiction.
• encouraging community engagement to strengthen & promote combativeness toward opioid addiction. 

For those in recovery: 

• through stigma reduction.
• through the promotion of Mahoning County as a safe space to recover.
• by providing Narcan trainings. 
• by providing resources for peer-support & 12-step meetings. 

For individuals & families living with Opioid Use Disorder by engaging the faith community as a valued support.
